Christopher A. Anselmo
President, BSBA, CPA/PFS, MBA, JD, LLM

True to our Mission Statement, Chris Anselmo has dedicated years of study and practice in the areas of accounting, tax, finance and law.

Chris Anselmo, our President, is both an attorney and CPA. In 1984, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) from John Carroll University, where he majored in accounting. In 1989, he received both his Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees from Cleveland State University, where he concentrated in taxation, finance and business law. In 1990, Chris Anselmo received his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Real Property, Land Development, and Finance Law from the University of Miami.

Chris Anselmo is also a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). The PFS credential demonstrates that an individual has met the education, experience and testing required of a CPA in addition to a level of expertise in personal financial planning.

Chris Anselmo has led presentations on various topics, including: Financial & Estate Planning, Living Trusts, Asset Protection, Charitable Trusts, S Corporations, Deferred Like-Kind Exchanges, Limited Liability Companies, Family Limited Partnerships, and IRS Collection Practices.

In order to fulfill our Mission Statement, Chris has obtained the necessary licenses/ registrations to work with Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Annuities and Health, Disability, and Life and Long-Term Care Insurances for our clients.

Chris has also been honored for various accomplishments. In 2021, he was selected as a Crain’s Cleveland 2021 Notable Wealth Manager Honoree. He was again honored by Crain’s Cleveland in 2022 as a Notables in Finance Honoree.

Chris and Connie have two children, Nicole and Gino. Chris enjoys spending time with their children and is an avid golfer.


Jennifer Corrigan
Director of Operations, BSBA, MBA

Jennifer has been with Brookside for over a decade. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University where she majored in accounting and human resource management. She then attended Ohio Dominican University where she obtained her Master’s in Business Administration. Jennifer also has her health and life insurance license.

Jennifer works with Chris Anselmo to assess the needs of the organization, make decisions for operational activities, and set strategic goals for the firm. She also works closely with our clients to assist with their financial, tax, and estate planning needs.

Jennifer lives in Strongsville and enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants around Cleveland, and spending time with her fiance and son.

 

Jeffrey P. Corrigan
Tax and Insurance Advisor

Jeff excels in consulting our clients in the areas of taxation and income and retirement planning. He worked closely with George Heidenreich, our founder, and Chris Anselmo in growing and developing Brookside Tax & Financial Group, LLC into the firm we are today. His mission is to help clients achieve their financial goals by providing solutions to help protect their financial future while providing peace of mind as they approach retirement.

Jeff has over 20 years of experience in taxation and has earned the proper licenses to be able to offer strategies to further the financial success of our clients.

Jeff and his wife, Kathy, live in Columbia Station. They have four children. Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and loves to cook.

 

Tony Marlette Jr.
Investment Advisor, A.A.M.S.

Tony has worked in a variety of roles within the Financial Services industry since 2005, including client services, sales support, trading, and business development. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist and has been an Advisor since 2014.

Tony works with clients to help maximize their investments, protect assets, and plan for retirement. He specializes in helping you to create streams of income and protect your portfolio from stock market declines. Tony’s overall goal is to give you peace of mind, and help you secure your retirement in the safest, most tax-efficient way.

Aside from two years spent on the East Coast, Tony is a born-and-raised Cleveland native and has been here his entire life. He currently lives in Fairview Park with his wife, Megan (a high school teacher), their son Samuel and their Cavapoo puppy named Gabi. Outside of the office, Tony enjoys spending time with his family at the lake, reading, exercising, and attempting to golf.

 

Gino Anselmo
Client Service Specialist, BSBA

Gino joined Brookside in 2023 as a Client Service Specialist. Gino’s current role is to assist our advisors and clients regarding opening, servicing, and reviewing accounts. Gino holds his bachelor’s degree from Miami University, and is currently working on his master’s degree through the University of Denver online. He also holds his Life Insurance license through the state of Ohio. Prior to joining Brookside, Gino lived in Denver and worked as a consultant and production planner, where he oversaw four separate facilities in four states on the west coast.

In his free time, Gino enjoys snowboarding and hiking. He and his wife Sarah were married in Colorado over the summer of 2023. They recently moved home to Parma, where they reside with their four cats: Cleopatra, Prince, Bezzely, and Jelly Bean.

 

Cheryl Smith
Office Manager, BSBA, CPA

Cheryl joined the firm in 2003. She earned her BSBA in accounting from John Carroll University and completed the Certified Public Accountant exam shortly after graduation. Her initial work was with TRW in their International Tax Department. She has over 30 years of individual tax preparation experience.

Cheryl and her husband, Jim, live in Strongsville and have raised four children. She is an adoption advocate and volunteers weekly at Providence House (a crisis nursery for children).

She is an avid sports fan, especially the Fighting Irish and the Buckeyes!

 

Regina Cutter
Administrative Coordinator

Regina is an Administrative Coordinator with over a decade of experience working alongside the executive team of Brookside Tax & Financial Group. While she enjoys the variety of work that comes from working in a tax and financial office, she finds the interaction with our clients is not only the most important part of her job, but also her favorite. Regina is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to be the face and voice of the organization. Regina is inspired daily by her husband, Steve, and their two grown sons, Nicholas, and Dylan. In her free time, Regina enjoys spending time with her family, including their newest addition, Luna, a terrier/shepherd mix.
 

Morgan Fuchs
Client Service Specialist

Morgan earned a BA in International Relations in 2017 and BBA in Accounting in 2023 from Walsh University. In her role as a Client Service Specialist, she works with our advisors and clients to open, service, and review their accounts. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the metroparks, DIY home improvement projects, and traveling anywhere with a beach. Morgan lives in Brunswick with her husband, Ben, and two rescue dogs.

 

Jeanne Heidenreich
E-filing Coordinator

Jeanne is the widow of our late founder, George Heidenreich. Jeanne has served as the executive assistant for the last several years. She has been with the company for over 20 years. Her role in the company has been vast. She is a licensed insurance agent and a tax preparer. Jeanne acts as a client liaison.

Jeanne has six grown children and eight grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, writing and exercising.

Marketing Director

Erin Maher is the Marketing Director for Brookside Tax & Financial Group. Prior to joining Brookside in 2019, she was the Director of Marketing for a customer service consulting firm. Erin’s major experience in finance comes from working in the self-directed retirement investment industry, where she spent six years fine tuning her marketing techniques and soaking up financial information. Though her knowledge of non-traditional investments and IRS guidelines runs deep, Erin’s natural purpose comes in helping others, and educating her peers and the public. In her free time, you will usually find Erin exploring the Cleveland Metroparks, working on her flower beds, or tending to her vegetable garden. Erin resides in Parma Heights with her husband and cat.
